Matthew Mole is a South African music artist from the city of Cape Town. He was born 28 October 1991. Matthew is singer-songwriter, his father also taught him how to play the guitar and started him off playing covers. He went on to study music production after school.
Matthew’s production-led style is also informed by electronic music like Passion Pit. This contrast of the acoustic and electronic is a subtle backdrop to the debut LP The Home We Built, which became an iTunes No.1 album in July – the first time a native South African had ever reached the top spot.
