Samkelo Skhembe, also known as Atmos Blaq was born in the township of Soweto, located in South Africa.
He was inducted into the production of music from a tender age by his father. He was influenced by sounds with strings, synth and gravy baselines which would later give birth to his own sound. A sound which can be described as electro (dub) house as well as dance music. He combines those repetitive bears and melodies which put one in a trance together with gravy baselines which make one want to throw all cares to the wind and just dance.
His sound is one of those considered to have influenced afro house music
