Nicholas Mboweni also known as Cuebur, was born in the province of Mpumalanga, located in South Africa.
Growing up, he was a nerdy kid who was obsessed with hip hop music, beat boxing and computer studies.
Everything changed when he was the first and only person in his neighborhood to have a computer. His long time friend Dj Xola would visit to use the computer and would often leave behind vinyls and equipment, which inspired Cuebur to take the journey of producing and mixing. Several years later he had become a giant in the house music scene, as a pioneer of afro- tech house, that can make even the most stubborn tap their feet to his rhythms and dance. He is also internally acclaimed, having worked with Grammy nominated artists
