Robinson Malinga (08 November 1968 - 25 December 2017) best known by the name of Robbie and became a singer, songwriter and South African music producer. Malinga contributed to the development of musical skills in the musical hub for South Africa, including Kabelo , Arthur Mafokate , Mzekezeke and many others. His greatest achievement was in the Afro Pop music scene where he worked closely with Kelly Khumalo.

Robbie Malinga was born in Meadowlands Township , Soweto . His love for music began at a young age when he was a pianist at church.

He passed away on 25 December 2017 after succumbing to leukemia.
