Multitalented musician and songwriter Jabulani Sjava Makhubo, has paired up with decorated producer and engineer Mfanafuthi Ruff Nkosi to launch South Africa’s newest record label 1020 Cartel.

Ruff Nkosi who has been the magic hand behind the sound of Sjava (with whom he co-owns 1020 Cartel), Emtee and Saudi, all of whom have gained international recognition for their individual projects. The label is using the album as a platform to introduce each of its artists as well as a launchpad to release their solo projects in the near future.

The duo teamed up with Nothando Migogo of Sosela Legal & Advisory to establish 1020 Management. This is the operations and strategy arm of the 1020 group.
