Founded by Joseph Shabalala during the 1960's, Ladysmith Black Mambazo is a Grammy-winning choral group from South Africa. The group’s compelling performance style is a unique melding of indigenous Zulu songs and dances with South African isicathamiya, a soft, shuffling style of dance. A harmony-focused Zulu style of a cappella and offshoot of Mbube.
